More info on the unreleased John Lydon British Electric Foundation tracks...
The two tracks were 'Punishment' and 'One fine day'. They were recorded around October 1990. Recording took place in a private studio in Kranzberg (near Munich), owned by Terry Drivas, a rich tycoon with a spleen for music who soon after suddenly disappeared amongst rumours of money laundering and was sought by the police.
Thanks to Martyn Ware and Dirk Hohmeyer for the info.

For some reason we're having trouble receiving e-mail from people who use AOL. Apparently, it's AOL's fault, but our ISP is working on fixing the problem. In the meantime I'd recommend using a different e-mail address, if you have one. If not just post on the board, and we should see it.

Apologies for the lack of updates over the last couple of weeks. More soon...

At Last! The illustrated discography is finished. Absolute torture! It has to be the most tedious, mind numbing thing I've ever done, apart from seeing Joe Strummer a couple of years ago. Actually, I'm sure you'll agree when you see it it was worth the wait. The discography now features nearly 700 colour pictures of sleeves, inners, and labels etc.
Thanks to everyone to helped with sleeves. We're still missing a few stragglers, mostly cover versions, or obscure Wobble releases, and we couldn't track down the sleeve for the Metal Box cassette, so if anyone has it please get in touch...
The whole discography has been overhauled, all image files has been compressed, which now means it should all load a lot quicker. Obviously, if you spot any mistakes give us a shout...
Enjoy or die...

Karsten brings our attention to a Japanese web site featuring exclusive pix from John Lydon's Japanese solo tour, here.

It looks like all the missing pages are now back up. There may be a little more turmoil in the future, I'll keep you posted.

There's been a little tweaking of the 'Paris Au Printemps' & 'Metal Box'/'Second Edition' entries in the discography. The US version of 'Open Up' has been added to the JL solo discography, as well as a couple of cover version sleeves.

I think I've managed to fix all the broken links (don't ask!). Everything should now work ok, including the new discography sections. If you spot any broken links please let us know...

Julie Christensen who sang unaccredited backing vocals on 'That What is Not' has confirmed her involvement with the album, and gave us a little anecdote about herself and fellow backing vocalist Bonnie Sheridan...

I don't know what's happened, but a lot of the pages are down on the site. Most notably the News page, and the new discography pages. I'll contact the ISP and try sort things out, hopefully within the next day or so.

Fodderstompf in update Shocker!

Yes, that's right, while you were out getting pissed we've been slaving away with the site! The discography section has finally been updated and finished (bar the sleeve pix, more later...). As well as general tidying up of the discography we've also added a new Video / DVD section. Various new PiL cover versions have come to light (thanks to Karsten). And we've also been tinkering with the solo discographies.

Ideally, I would have included all the sleeve pictures. After all, the whole point of the illustrated discography was that it would be illustrated. As it stands only the 7", cassette single & CD single discographies are illustrated. Basically, the scans are what has held us up over the past few months. So I decided to go ahead with the discography and simply leave space for them. Hopefully, we'll get round to adding them soon. In the meantime if you can help by sending in scans, please do...

Also added to the site;
The John Lydon biography has been updated to include 2001
Various new press reviews have been added
Added to the gig list ;
9.6.89 VANCOUVER, COMMODORE BALLROOM, CANADA
7.9.89 OSAKA, KOSEINENKIN KAIKAN, JAPAN

4.4.83 NEW HAVEN, TOADS PLACE, USA

?.?.84 NEW YORK, BEACON THEATRE, USA

thanks to Karsten

There's also been some new images added here and there, along with some general tinkering throughout the site.

Next up will be the Keith Levene interview, which is done and dusted, and just needs to be typed up. Hopefully I'll get round to it within the next couple of weeks... Then it's about high time we updated the chronology. After that, who knows...

I've decided to redo the new reviews section and split it into two separate sections. There will be one section devoted to reviews, and the other devoted to original articles and Fodderstompf features. The sections have now been updated with the most of the F&F PiL archives, there's still more to come...

I've also added a selection of music press reviews & interviews to the Press Archives section.

There's been quite a bit of tinkering going on throughout the site, with new pix added to certain sections, and general tidying up of others....
