recorded at the New York, Ritz 16.7.89
The NY Ritz gig – where
the two live tracks were recorded – was originally intended
to be released as a live album. Although tracks appeared on the
'Cruel' releases (and on various other promos) the gig still remains
unreleased in full by Virgin Records. Ted Chau & Bruce Smith
also appear on the live tracks.
Trivia:
The front cover of the sleeve features a John Lydon painting of
the 'new' PiL, similar in style to the 'Paris Au Printemps' sleeve
of the original line-up.

Quotes:
Is it cruel not to want self-pity? And not to expect pity from others?
I stand and fall by my own merits and works, and that's it. If that's
very hard for some people to comprehend, and therefore they run
to stupid words like cruel, well then that's the way it is. I take
no prisoners, and I don't expect to be let off lightly either...
- John Lydon, BBC 'Rapido' 1992
